Thomas Woytko
PRESIDENT/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Thomas Woytko is an educator, composer/arranger, and versatile low brass doubler from Duluth, Minnesota. Thomas is JAM’s Executive Director and is currently touring with the MEAN GIRLS National Tour. Before touring Thomas contributed to Duluths Jazz scene by participating in jam sessions and performing with his group around Duluth while earning a Jazz studies degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Grant Carl
VICE PRESIDENT/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
Grant Carl is an orchestra teacher in Duluth, and a jazz musician with 5 years of professional work as a bass player in the Twin Ports area

Jacob Burkhart
TREASURER/SECRETARY
Jacob Burkhart is a trumpet player and educator living in Austin, Minnesota. Teaching and performing all around the state of Minnesota, Jacob performs regularly in the Twin Ports Area with many well-known groups such as Laura Velvet, Duluth Transit Authority, Palisade, Owls Club Big Band, and small jazz groups. Jacob Graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2020 with Bachelor’s degrees in Jazz Studies and Education.

Matt Tenbroek
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER/CONTENT SPECIALIST
Matt TenBroek is a
versatile Woodwind
doubler originally based in
Minnesota and is currently
in the last year of his
undergraduate studies at
the University of
Wisconsin – Eau Claire.
Matt began his undergrad
seeking a general music
degree but has since
created what he calls a
“do-it-yourself” music
business degree.
Matt combines his love
and connection to a
variety of music styles
with an appreciation and
understanding of modern
marketing tools to reach a
wider audience through
social media. He has
grown the brand of
TenBroekjazz to a
combined total of over
70,000 followers on
numerous platforms.

Analise Levesque
BOARD MEMBER
Analise Levesque is a multi-hyphenate musician located in New York City, pursuing a career as a music director and composer while also attaining a master’s degree in jazz piano from Queens College. She recently completed a summer internship at the prestigious Papermill Playhouse and additionally works part-time at Keys to Success in Brooklyn, NY.

Andy Peterson
BOARD MEMBER
Andy Peterson is a Saxophonist/Woodwind doubler based in NYC, pursuing a career as a freelance jazz musician and educator. Andy is currently working towards completing a master’s degree from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music. Andy is an active performing musician throughout the NYC jazz scene as well as occasional performances throughout Minnesota.

Christian Morena-Cova
BOARD MEMBER
Christian Moreno Cova serves as the program manager for USC’s Jazz Girls Day program, which has invited and inspired hundreds of girls and young women from more than 12 states to engage with jazz music. Moreno Cova also currently holds board membership with USC’s Ears Wide Open performance series and has held board memberships with the Big Time Jazz Orchestra (MN) and Tweed Museum of Art (MN).
Moreno Cova is currently a graduate assistant and student in Jazz Composition at the University of South Carolina and holds a degree in Jazz Studies (Piano Performance) from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Sam Chandler
BOARD MEMBER
Sam Chandler is a dynamic and versatile pianist, composer, and educator from Duluth, Minnesota. A JAM Board Member since 2024, he has performed Jazz shows at a variety of venues in Duluth for many years and can attest to the Twin Ports Jazz scene’s vibrancy. He earned his BM from Berklee College of Music in 2023 and is currently pursuing his Master’s at Eastman School of Music beginning in Fall 2024.
